Enter and validate variable payroll elements

Access to variable elements and the actions authorised by an Administrator depend on the permissions assigned in the file configuration (contact the partner that provides My Silae to your company for more details).

Entering variables and hours

From the Administrator Area:

  • Click the Variable elements tab.
  • Click the Variables or Hours tab, depending on the type of variable element to enter/edit.
  • The list of the company's employees is displayed.

There are 2 options available for entering variables or hours:

1. Entering by employee

2. Bulk entry

Entering by employee

  • Choose the employee.
  • To enter or edit values that have already been entered, click Edit at the top right of the screen.
  • Click in the cell, then enter the value.
  • Once entry is complete, click Save at the top right of the screen.

Bulk entry

  • From the list of employees, click the multi-select icon displayed at the top right of the screen.
  • Choose all employees or make a specific selection, then click the Edit N employees button
  • Choose the relevant variable.
  • If the values differ by employee, enter them manually in the relevant cells.
  • If the value is the same for all listed employees, activate the Use a single value button and enter the value.
  • Click Save at the top right of the screen.

Example: a holiday bonus of 400 euros is awarded to all the company's employees using the bulk editing feature.

Entering advance payments

From the Administrator Area:

  • Click the Variable elements tab.
  • Click the On-demand pay tab
  • Click the Report advance payment made button to declare a new advance payment for the current period.
  • Select the employee.
  • Enter the payment date of the advance payment and its amount in euros.
  • The label is generated automatically and will be visible on the payslip. It can be modified manually.
  • Click the Declare button.
  • The advance payment is displayed in the list.

An advance payment can be modified or deleted until the payroll cycle has been validated.

Validating variable payroll elements

From the Administrator Area:

  • Click the Payroll cycle validation tab.
  • Before validating the payroll cycle, you can access the summary of the variables, hours, absences and advance payments for the current period, for all employees. To do this, click the corresponding tab.
  • Filters are available to refine the data displayed.

Values cannot be edited via the verification screens. To modify elements, use the "Variable elements" tab from the Administrator Area.

  • Once the verification has been completed, click the Approve payroll cycle button and confirm the action.
  • Payroll cycle approval is displayed as "processing".
  • Entering variable elements is no longer available.

Once validation processing is complete, entering variable elements changes to the "Closed" status.
