đŻObjective
This sheet presents the eligibility criteria that allow an employee to benefit from the On-demand pay module.
You will find:
the conditions to meet;
the situations leading to automatic exclusion;
the check performed by the system based on payroll data.
1- The conditions to meet
To be considered eligible, an employee must meet all of the following conditions at the same time.
â Have an active worker contract
The employee must be linked to the company by an ongoing worker contract.
This notably includes:
Permanent contract (CDI);
Fixed-term contract (CDD);
Apprenticeship contract;
Professionalization contract.
Not included:
- Interns, because they are not linked to the company by a worker contract but by an internship agreement
Employees who are not paid monthly;
Employees holding several jobs.
â Have a payslip for the previous month (M-1)
The employee must have a payslip issued for the previous month (M-1), showing gross compensation. The information on this payslip is used to calculate the net-to-gross ratio, which is needed to determine the available amount.
Without a reference payslip, the system cannot calculate the advance amount and the employee is considered ineligible.
â Have no Leaving soon date in the current month
The employee must not have a scheduled departure in the current month.
This notably includes:
End of fixed-term contract (CDD);
Resignation;
Dismissal;
Mutually agreed termination.
When a contract end date is recorded in payroll, the employee automatically becomes ineligible for the On-demand pay module. This rule ensures that the advance is calculated only on compensation that will actually be paid.
2- Situations leading to automatic exclusion
The following situations automatically make the employee ineligible.
â First month of employment at the company
The employee does not yet have an M-1 payslip allowing the available amount to be calculated.
This rule applies regardless of the contract type.
â Very short-duration contract
Contracts that do not cover a full payroll cycle may be excluded from the program.
Examples:
Very short fixed-term contracts (CDD);
One-off assignments.
â M-1 payslip missing or zero
The employee is excluded when no usable compensation is available for the previous month.
Examples:
Sick leave for the entire month without salary continuation;
Full parental leave;
Contract suspension without compensation.
â Unpredictable or irregular compensation
Employees whose compensation is not based on a sufficiently stable monthly basis may be excluded from the program.
Examples:
Catering extras;
Hospitality extras;
Compensation exclusively per assignment;
Certain forms of portage salarial (umbrella employment);
Sales representatives (VRP) without fixed compensation.
đ Note:
Special case of employees with variable schedules
The available amount is calculated from the base salary known in payroll and the data from the previous month. When compensation depends exclusively on hours worked that are not yet known at the time of the request, eligibility may be limited to ensure the reliability of the calculation.
â Exit date recorded
As soon as a departure date is recorded in the current month, the employee becomes ineligible for the On-demand pay module. This rule applies even if the employee is still at the company at the time of the request.
3- Checks performed by the system based on payroll data
All of these checks are performed automatically when rights are calculated.
No manual action by the company, the payroll manager, or the employee is required.
